Kidney Specialists of Southern Nevada (KSOSN)
provides comprehensive kidney care and a full spectrum of kidney disease
management resources for residents of Southern Nevada. Our care team educates
and empowers patients who are living with kidney pain, infections, stones, and
other kidney problems. With this exciting opportunity you will be joining a
seasoned team of 45 Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians Assistants,
as well as 40+ team members across nine office locations.
We are looking for a dynamic Operations
Manager to join our growing team. This individual will oversee all clinic and
front office operations within KSOSN. The Operations Manager will be committed to
creating a quality environment, promoting the patient experience and patient safety
creating an exceptional work experience for our clinical and front office teams.
The Operations Manager will partner with the leadership team to achieve KSOSNs goals.
Job Description:
The primary goal of the Operations Manager is to
ensure maximum utilization of resources within the physician practice while providing
support to staff and physicians. The OM is responsible for overseeing the daily
operations of our outpatient medical facilities.
List of Essential Job
Functions:

Recruit, hire and coordinate the training
of new staff members
·
Design and implement business strategies
to help the clinic meet organizational goals
·
Manage staff by assigning and delegating
tasks as needed
·
Develop protocols and procedures to
improve staff productivity
·
Act as a liaison between patients, their
families and additional care staff
·
Plan and manage the clinic's budget and
approve payroll
·
Identifies
cost saving opportunities within the clinical and front office budgets
providing alternative options and models for consideration and possible
implementation
·
Responsible
for clinical and front office staff performance including period performance reviews,
ensuring adherence to company policy and progressive discipline when necessary
·
Schedules
staff
·
Processes
and approve staff time off and time cards for payroll in a timely manner
·
Ensure that all policies and procedures
function in accordance with state and federal laws
·
Reports
operational data for clinic and front office flow and infusion rooms identifying
problematic trends as well as improvement opportunities
·
Provides
mentorship and guidance for the clinical and front office team to promote
professional development, increase productivity and provider utilization
·
Researches
and utilizes local, national and professional benchmarking information to help
set strategic and operational goals
·
Monitors,
reports and sets goals to improve patient satisfaction and patient outcomes
·
Establishes
and maintains professional relationships with outside clinics, hospitals,
vendors, referring physicians and referring staff
·
Organizes
and conducts clinical and front office meetings with all staff at least once
quarterly with more frequent ad-hoc and stand-up meetings as needed
·
Initiates
and maintains quality initiatives ensuring Best Clinical Practice across all
clinical functions within the practice
·
Organizes
and participates in Physicians committee meetings ensuring appropriate and timely
delegation, completion and follow up on all clinical action items including
engagement of outside professional consulting and support when necessary
·
Responsible,
either directly or through delegation, for appropriate patient health record
documentation of all clinical action items ensuring adherence to regularity
requirements and industry standards of care
·
Oversees
all aspects of patient triage ensuring safe and timely practices
·
Ensures
licensure and training of all staff members
·
Ensures
OSHA compliance and oversees OSHA training for all employees
·
Ensures
CLIA compliance and oversees CLIA training for all employees
·
Responsible
for CLIA inspections
·
Ensures
compliance with all other local, state and federal regulations with regard to
all active clinical practices with the business
·
Write
& update clinical and front office policy & procedures
·
Coordinate
& monitor extern program for clinical and front office staff
·
Monitors
& coordinates Lab tech at all KSOSN locations
·
Additional
duties as needed
Qualifications for Operations Manager
·
Bachelor degree required in a related field.
·
5+ years prior experience working in a
clinical or healthcare setting
·
3+ years of proven success in leadership
roles is required
·
Exceptional written and verbal communication
skills
·
Analytical thinking skills and the
ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions
·
Must be customer service oriented and
prepared to liaise with patients, families and other providers
·
Extremely organized and detail oriented
·
Ability to delegate tasks as needed
·
Ability to spend long periods of time
sitting at a desk
·
Knowledge of Spanish is an asset
